The pin surface is carbonized and hardened for superior impact resistance, resulting in greater breaker strength and increased chain wear life compared to ANSI standard chain.
Link plates are ball-drifted after heat treatment for greater fatigue strength. This results in a 30% increase in chain life compared to ANSI standard roller chains.
Rollers, precisely manufactured, are shot-peened after heat-treatment to give them superior fatigue life and high speed durability.
Heavy-Duty Oil Field Chains (with thicker linkplates) are designed for excellent resistance to greater capacity for absorbing shock loads, and are mainly for applications where space and design limitations prohibit the use of a large size roller chain, and yet greater load carrying capacities are needed in oil-field drilling operations.
Shepherd's crook type cotter is supplied unless riveted contraction is requested, thus full detachable along its length.
